OUR MISSION

OUR MISSION IS TO BUILD LEADERS OF CHARACTER

The mission of the United States Naval Sea Cadet Corps Modesto Division is to build leaders of character by imbuing in our cadets the highest ideals of honor, respect, commitment and service.

We do so by offering hands-on and immersive training in a variety of fields, assigning cadets leadership roles, giving them responsibilities, holding them accountable, encouraging physical and mental fitness, and emphasizing community service. This is made possible by a tireless, dedicated team of volunteers and through a partnership with the U.S. Navy and U.S. Coast Guard, along with support from the rest of our Nation's Armed Forces and other local public service agencies.

Cadets meet monthly with their unit to train on a variety of topics, visit military installations and museums, participate in community service, and meet with special guests. During school breaks, cadets have the opportunity to attend 1 to 2-week trainings in a variety of disciplines such as aviation, seamanship, field ops, firefighting, medical, search and rescue, legal, photojournalism, SCUBA, law enforcement, sailing, space camp, STEM, cyber patriot, robotics, and so much more...
