Enrollment Opens this summer for our Fall 2025 Recruit Class!!
First, you must attend an information session to learn about the program.
AT THE INFORMATION SESSION...
Information sessions are held in-person and virtually so you can find a session that works with your schedule.
Sessions last about an hour; they include a presentation, some videos, and a Q&A.
You must attend an information session prior to enrollment.
After the session, you can sign up to attend a mandatory Shadow Day.
Next, you'll attend a Shadow Day where you shadow a cadet for a drill, try the PRT, and see what drill is like.
ON SHADOW DAY...
Show up on-time on your scheduled day. A parent or guardian must stay on-sight with you for the duration of drill.
What to wear:
Plain, black gym shorts (or other solid dark color)
Plain, solid-colored white t-shirt (or gray)
Athletic shoes with white or black socks.
Sweatpants and/or sweatshirt OK in cold weather (solid blue, black, or gray preferred)
You will be assigned a cadet to shadow for the day. They will be your guide and will answer your questions.
Our unit will take the Physical Readiness Test in the morning. If you have a parent's permission you can do the same exercises our cadets do, under your parent's supervision. You can compare your scores to our PRT scoring chart. This will give you an idea of where you stand compared to our fitness requirements. The test consists of a timed 1-mile run, pushups, and plank.
Lunch is on us! You and your adult guest(s) are invited to join us for chow (lunch).
Before leaving, be sure to schedule your interview.
After your Shadow Day you'll have an interview with command staff and your parents to discuss joining.
DURING THE INTERVIEW...
Command Staff will meet with you and your parent/guardian(s) to talk about the program requirements, why you want to join, and what your goals are so we can help determine if the program is a good fit for you.
After the interview you will be given the application packet and application instructions. Be sure to pay attention to detail and complete all parts of the application exactly as directed.
The final step is attending Onboarding Day to submit your application and finalize your enrollment.
AT ONBOARDING DAY...
Arrive on time to your scheduled time slot and expect to spend around 2-3 hours to complete the entire process.
Be sure to come with your completed application and all additional documents. Cadets with incomplete or missing documents will not be able to enroll until the application packet is complete.
Once your paperwork, payment, and ID card photo are processed, you and your parent/guardian will need to create online portal accounts and show staff that you are able to log into them.
After your registration is complete, you'll be sized for uniforms and will be issued your PT gear. This will be your INDOC uniform.
Your first drill after Onboarding Day will be INDOC Day 1.
